Champions Classic Bench Show

When and Where- Friday Morning of Black and Tan Days (Starting In Place of Memorial Show 2019)

Entry Fee of $25.00 to be paid morning of the show deadline of 9:00 am.

All Owners of qualified hounds must be a member of the ABTCHA (Can be Paid at B&T Days if not already paid)

Events to qualify and points available –

Automatic Qualifiers –
Previous Year Champion Classic Overall Winner (would be available in 2020 Black and Tan Days)
Previous Year King and Queen of Show at Black and Tan Days

ABTCHA Sectionals –
Best of Show, Ch of Ch and Gr Ch Male and Female - 2 pt
King and Queen of Show - 5 pts

Black and Tan Days –

Best of Breed Male and Female Open, Ch and Grand - 1 pt
Best of Show, Ch of Ch and Gr Ch Male and Female - 2 pts
King of Show - 5 pts
Queen of Show - 5 pts

UKC Grand American

Best of Breed Male and Female Open, Ch and Grand - 1 pt
Best of Show, Ch of Ch and Gr Ch Male and Female - 2 pts
Opposite Sex Grand American Overall - 3 pts
Overall Grand American Show Winner - 5 pts

UKC Winter Classic –

Best of Breed Male and Female Open, Ch and Grand - 1 pt
Best of Show, Ch of Ch and Gr Ch Male and Female - 2 pts
Overall Winter Classic Show Winner - 5 pts

UKC Purina Nationals –

Best of Breed Male and Female - 1 pt
Overall Breed Winner - 2 Pts
Overall Purina Nationals Winner - 5 pts

UKC Autumn Oaks –

Best of Breed Open, Champion and Grand Male & Female - 1 pt
Best of Show, Ch of Ch and Gr Ch Male and Female - 2 pts
National Grand Opposite Sex - 3 pts
Overall National Grand - 5 pts

UKC World Championship -

World Champion Black and Tan Male and Female - 2 pts
World Champion Opposite Sex Overall - 3 pts
Overall World Champion - 5 pts

Show format will be the same format that has been used in the past for The Memorial Show. All Males will show against each other regardless of titles and all females will show against each other regardless of titles. King and Queen of Show will be determined and those two hounds will compete against each other for Overall Champions Classic Show Champion. (Three Panel Bench Show Judges will be appointed by Executive Vice President of the ABTCHA to judge the Champions Classic Show)

Overall payout to be determined once approved by Board of Directors and/or membership – (Example only $500.00 payout)
Champion Classic King and Queen - $100.00 each
3rd place dog $75.00
4th place dog $50.00
5th place dog $25.00
Overall Champion Classic Winner - $100.00 additional

Fund raiser will be held annually to raise the appropriate monies to support the Champion Classic Bench Show Payout, Trophies would be provided by ABTCHA as with the memorial currently adding one trophy for Overall Winner

After Automatic Qualifiers (See Above) – the balance of the 20 spots will be filled based on points earned from Black and Tan Days 2018 to Last qualifying show before Black and Tan Days 2019 … List of the top 30 will be posted on UKC Message Board, ABTCHA Facebook Page and Available from the Executive Vice President through the year as sectional/event information is provided. If any of the Top 20 do not show up for the Champions Classic Show additional spots will be filled… the 20 will be filled in points order until all spots are filled.
2019 Show will have 18 point qualifiers and the 2020 show will have 17 point qualifiers

Is the ABTCHA paying the money or is it like the Hunt and it is funded through the entries paid and raffle that is done. Just wondering wasn't at the hunt to hear all the ends and outs.
