Little Hollis

Jason Im showing him most everything I know. He may put it on me if I show him eveything!!LOL No, I am glad he likes coonhunting and him and Witch are making a good team. Both are learning the ropes together. We may hit a hunt here soon and see how they measure up!! If you get a chance send him the easy entry card.

Huntin

Hunted past night in the rain. Cotton got one treed but it wasn't a pretty night for sure. Bottoms flooded out , waded water most all night plus gettin rained on at 32 degrees. Gotta love it.

Cold and Wet

Hunted again last night in cold rain and sleet. Made two trees and seen one coon and a den. Little Dolly female did a good job. Hunted her and Ruger. Struck two old bad tracks and got one up and goin seen him on the outside. Coons feeding on these old hedge berries around here now. Tired of the rain and getting wet. All my hunting is underwater, makes for a rough night. Good luck to all blue dogs headed to the Winter Classic!!

Scott I got a couple young dogs that are treein good. Just got to hunt them hard and see if they make the final cut!!!

Myers, I have seen Rocky look really good. Maybe I need to spectate on ur cast. He always seems to look good when I'm with you.

talked to drake sat.night I sounded like yall had a night like me. I not lookin forward to going to the classic the way my hunts have been going. I jus hope they have a bunch of coons and they are moving when I get there.

We finally got one treed but it wasn't pretty up until last turnout. Witch did a good job along with ole ricket. He is my ole crippled dog outa rags. My nephew is Huntin him. Cotton looked like crap. She sometimes makes me want to feed her some lead!!!!!maybe ole rocky will get lined out.

Been Huntin 4 nights a week. Huntin Ruger hard. He has really improved over the last few weeks with hard Huntin. He will get gone and get deep in a hurry. He has been gettin some coons treed. Accurate hound.

Like i've said before, when we walked into Ruger up here I expected to see a coon and most always did. If not, it was a den. He's a very nice hound in my book.

Ruger

Thanks Lowell. I believe it took him a little time to adjust down here. New owner and lots of water. I also am treating him for rocky mtn spotted tick fever. He really seems to have a lot of new fire about him. Leaves in a dead run and dont care to get alone.

Ole Frosty was out of Moonshine and was another nice hound. Hard tree dog and was a complete loner, she would be by herself everytime you cut her and was deadly accurate. Got a pup now that I have high hopes for ole Frosty is his Grandma and Moonshine is his Great grandpa!!

Iceman was another GrNtCh from Moonshine. Jason Myers owned him til he died and he finished him to GrNtCh. He was a coondog that went hunting and had coons when he treed!!!Moonshine went sterile at a young age and had only 21 pups.

After traveling all over the country in the last year hunting these hunts I tell myself the same thing Jason. I've never hunted with Darren but I know the kind of dogs you feed and I'm sure Darren's are the same caliber, they'd be welcome to eat my feed anytime.

Thanks for the support guys. I know I am picky but why settle for less than what I have had before. One thing I see is blue dogs nowadays seem to lack that heart, effort, drive or whatever u want to call it. My old dogs made mistakes and had bad nights but NEVER lacked that drive and effort to do whatever it took to get a coon treed and stay there regardless of anything else.

Coons

Come on down Saturday night I will get you after a track. We made three trees last night , but all den trees. Treed in den on tues night and ran a stick up in it and cotton had the coon in the den. They hangin around those dens around here right now. I guess because of the rut. Hollar at me and we will turn one loose!

Sat Night

Jason I enjoyed our hunt Saturday night. Started off good and sort of went down hill!lol We got some dogs that dont mind gettin treed for sure! We will do it again soon .

Had fun

Had a good time last night matt. Teaching them young boys how its done is enjoyable to me. Ole Cotton is comin on around. Last two hunts two split trees with the coon. She may make the cut if she keeps progressing. Ole Dixie and Cotton look good perched up on the wood together. Definately TREE DOGS!!!
