Rolin Blues-WE'RE BACK

Took 2 years off for health/lost desire from age catching up with me, BUT now with 2 grand kids ( Madison(Madi), Hunter) & 2 good friends Allen(Cub) & Austin(Augie) Waller, we are back @ this bluetick hunting/showing game.

I have put together a list of top QUALITY females in the last 2 months to breed/play this game with. I will be listing each individual on this site as I take time listing them.

First 2 breedings that I have put together have been made:
GRNTCH Oakley/Rolin Blue Freaky Fast- Oakley is owned by Trent Krough by Mashalltown, Ia.. His family has been raising blue dogs for 50+ years & always come up with a good one to use in their kennel. Check out his site on here for pedigree. Freak is female I just bought back from Chance Irving/Trey Melton in OK. She is from cross I made in '16 between GRNTCH Sioux Valley Jack/GRNTCH Rolin Blue Jo-ann. Her pedgree can also be seen on Oakley site @ this time. Will put on here soon. Was bred July 2, '19. Picked up another cast win last night with 300+ on 2 coon. Had 1 cast win before I bought her with 650+ on 3 coon & almost $500 in $HKC money. Will be finished soon, if Cub can work his magic (skill, as he puts it)$250, will be ukc perf./$kc SS eligible.

Next cross, was made today- Dual GR Big Country/GRNTCH Rolin Blue Jo-ann- been looking forward to this cross for months now. Annie is 4th cross of Boomer/Ruby, which makes her one of last reproducing females from this cross, as she is 7 yrs. old. Way too many orders for this litter than I will be able to fill, so some of you might consider a pup from other litter to get a nice pup this fall to start next year. Am getting $500 for these, ukc perf./$kc SS payed up.

Ron I’m glad u like her I want anyone to be pleased if I sell a dog. She has all the tools to be a winner and she is in good hands I hope she keeps it up and u get many enjoyable nights out of her

We're getting as much hunting in as we can with the heat going up this week.

Showed Rolin Blue Lil Bit Country last Sat. too. Won her 3rd Best of Show female in a row, with competition, to finish to her CH. degree. Lost cast by 37 1/2 pts, but did good work anyway. Had 1st & 1st on last tree, but couldn't get coon to look on bright moonlit night. Always next week!! Take care, Ron.

Took Sunday off of hunting, after getting to bed @ 3 am. Went to river, dip the worm 4x & came home with a 3# & 7# catfish, so have been eating good this week.

Monday night was just an average night for this area. Freak & Queen smoked a track through some thick stuff, but coon went in ground. Next drop, Freak 'slipped out of dodge' on old track & got it treed ahead of Queen on a big den tree. 3rd drop was with Freak, solo. Hit track & worked it a long way, with several tap trees, on bright moonlit night. Finally, heard a batch of coyotes 'light it up' right in area she was at, so she got out of there. Cub & Hunter were ready to quit anyway, so we called her in.

Update on Rolin Blue Country Rox pup I just bought a couple weeks ago. Showed him a coon last week & he we bizzzerk over it, when it came out of cage. Monday night, when we led him up to one he couldn't see in cage, his nose took over & he tried tearing cage apart, till we flipped kit out for a reward. No backing down on that live one!!! Ready start hunting him now that he has shown he wants to get some action.

Last night was action packed on 3 drops. Freak & Lil were in competition against each other with Cub & Augie handling & Hunter judging. Cub bet Augie $20 he was going to win, so let the fun begin. Might mention, Augie is very competitive in nature. !st drop, Lil has 1st/1st on a coon. Now Augie is really letting Dad have it!!! Next drop, Freak has 1st/1st on big leafy tree, Lil has 2nd/1st on big leafy tree as the 2 dogs were 20 feet apart on split trees & couldn't get either coon to look. Last drop, Freak has 1st/1st on a coon together after a nice 350 yd. running track. Hunter declared it a draw, even though Cub had a slight edge on circle pts. Overall, very enjoyable evening. That is the way it is supposed to be on nice evening in Iowa. Oh, I forgot, we must have seen 15 coon crossing the roads. Take care, Ron.

Ron I am sure glad to see you back at it. Good luck my friend and come down some weekend and we will catch a few cats and tree a few coons.

Hunt this Sat., fair next week, then Aug. is full of hunts- 2 RQE to hit, other Trader,Inc. hunt, Iowa State hunt, then Autumn Oaks plus some $$$ hunts in Ind.. Sat. UKC hunt

Showed Queenie & won another Best of Show. Her second one, so hopefully will earn CH degree soon.

Cub hunted Freak & put another CW on her with 350+ on 2 coon. We was glad to get a little shower & cool down at hunt time, so it was really nice out. Whole lot better than it was last 2 days as we were frying with heat/humidity. That gives her 3 CWs in 3 UKC hunts-650+, 300+, 350+, so hope Cub & her can finish to NTCH before having pups, if she stuck. Don't really matter, if she didn't, then she will head to SS in Sept. & maybe UKC World hunt.

More later, gotta go see if Hunter & I can catch a catfish. Then, rest of week running to 'county fair vacation'. Will be back hitting hunts till after AO after that. Take care, Ron.

Since this is our county fair week, Ben has agreed to handle Freak at Wisc. State Purina hunt for me. 2 grand kids & 2 buddies are tied up at fair that do my handling & my legs can't keep up on casts much anymore. If you don't believe that, just ask Ben or Jeremy Munson what it was like hunting with me & my walking pole & Jon Ahrens & his cane on the same cast at our Zone III hunt!!!

Freak has been on 3 UKC casts with 3 wins- 650+, 300+, 350+, usually treeing 1 coon on each by herself. She may not win this weekend, but I'll bet $10 that other dogs on her casts will have their hands full for the evening, beating her, unless they have a flat out terrible hunt.

Ben hunted her last night for 2 drops to get used to her & sent pic & video of the 2 drops he made. Anyone is more than welcome to ck with him about what he saw her do right or wrong, if anyone don't believe what I say about dogs I own & hunt. Good luck, Ben & Freak. Take care, Ron.
