** THIS CROSS WAS MADE!!!!!! ** I CANT WAIT TO SEE WHAT THIS CROSS BRINGS TO AFTER DARK KENNELS!!!

Thanks to Joe Lueke for choosing Rex to breed such a fine female like Kate to. Kate is little miss coondog. I actually had her here and hunted and handled her some for Joe, I scored over 600+ with her in a 1hr pkc hunt. I won my cast at walker days with her against a dog that placed 3rd at the SS. She can hold her own and is a pleasure to hunt through the week. Her last litter has reproduced some flat coontree'ers that are bringing big figures if you can find one for sale. No hype, no blown smoke, This should be as good a cross as any I've made no doubt. I guess I'm partial cause I know this females capabilities. Aside from having abilities these should be some flat gorgeous, houndy pups. I've already made room for mine!!

Thanks again for all the calls and texts !!! I had a total of 38 calls in 24 hrs !!! Most of you have no idea, just how nice a female Kate is !!! The ONLY reason she has not won $10 or $20,000 is because I own her !! I haven’t ran the hunts in years, since WitchDoctor. I have tried a truck load of pups and dogs in the last 10 yrs, and I assure you, Kate, is by far the best COON TREER I’ve tried. She is a “rough country” coon hound from the mountains of WV, that can tree ANY kind of coon track !!! Her momma was bred in my back yard, and thanks to my very good friend Michael Bassett, she now sleeps, and will die, in the same pen her daddy did !!! Kate now makes a living treeing coons in the hills of Fort Knox, KY. While others are busy squalling and beating on dens, December through February !!! I took her up to Jeremy last year, and she treed them in fence rows and flat woods just as easy. Rex has proven himself from Indiana to Mississippi !! He has piled up the hardware to prove it. But more importantly, he has proved he too can tree any type of coon track !!! This should be a OUTSTANDING cross !!! When the pups are born, I will post how many she has, and ask for deposits between 2-3 weeks. No deposit, no pup, no exceptions !!! The next man will move up. Thanks.

Ol Rough Country Kate can tree those late January coons. I have personally put her in places to see what happens. Well, I really enjoy listing to Joe complain about why did you drop us here 😂. I have seen her tree them 25 yards from the truck in the summer time or 1/2 mile deep in the Hills of Southern IN winter. Got a mouth you can hear and you ain’t gonna cover her up. Can’t go wrong here!

Took Ol Rex out for a spin last night to knock the rust off him. Good weather, good company and good dog work. We treed 10 coon in 3 hours of hunting. Rex treed 4 alone, and 1 with my buddies dog and his two dogs treed the rest. He’s not getting any younger and only has 64 pups on the ground afew titled and several with $$ won. Would love to see afew more good females bred to him, we get calls all the time wanting pups and I believe his doin his part in putting the right kind of pups out there. He’s throwing a big Lipper style scream mouth and big, long eared, houndy pups, that’s naturally independent. If you think he’s right fit for your female, give us a call.

I can’t believe I’m still getting calls on Rex and Kate pups. The response has been crazy !!! Over 70 calls and texts !!! Rex pups are in demand for sure !! If you or your buddy have a good female worth breeding, you need to go see Rex !! Jeremy will treat ya like family. Jeremy bred his Bone Collector female to Rex 2 weeks before I bred Kate. Yet he hasn’t said one word about it, because he wanted to make sure I sold all of mine first !!!! That’s the type of person he is, that’s why he has been so successful with his pups and with After Dark Kennels !!! Theres no need for him to post over and over the same thing or back to the top a 100 times. Winners and Reproducers speak for themselves.

PUPS ON THE GROUND!!! We have a real nice litter off REX and our FANCY female. Pups were born on 5/2/2020. We have 6 males and 2 females.

FANCY is not just a brood female, she just turned 3 right after we got her. She will be finished in the hunts and should have not problems doing it. She’s had one litter of 6 pups before this one and they have $$ won and one is a GrNiteCh. She likes to be alone and will show you coon, accurate! Machine gun tree dog with a big killer locate! She leaves you on a dead run and recuts off a tree the same way. She moves good and always busy. Her and Rex should compliment each other well. He’s already been crossed on a Bone female with good results!! We’re breeding for coondogs and hunt winner’s over here!!

I got some news from Bucky Pack in North Carolina that his 4 1/2 month old male off Rex, has been treeing the house cat and already running track and treeing some at night. I bet we’ll be hearing about this one, THE GAME CHANGER!

Here he is at just afew days shy of 9 weeks old.
