You sure won't find any sweet tea on this side of the border if you order it up here in Ontario they look at you like you have 3 heads of course they don't know what grits are either or bis&gravy.
Any one care to share their recipe for sweet tea,so some of us Northerners can enjoy it???

3-4 family size tea bags....

1-1/2 to 2-1/2 cups of sugar depending on how sweet you want it.....

steep the tea on stove or microwave - i use microwave 4-5 minutes for 4 cups of water then let sit for 5 min or so.... pour over sugar..... steep the same bags again for 4 mins or so. let sit pour in with other.... add cold water to fill container and then enjoy....

Drive a truck on your trip. Put water jug in back of truck. Put tea bags in water jug. Put water in water jug and take sugar along and add sugar in glass before you fill it with tea. That way you can offer a glass of unsweetend tea to those that don't want the sweet tea. ( :

I know we have sweet tea here, but not sure if it is as sweet as southern tea. I know I ordered some from a Wendy's and it was so sweet my teeth almost fell out. It was a sugar overload for me. Hubby is from AL and says what we call sweet tea is no where near as sweet as he drank down there. All I know is I taste sugar and no tea taste.

I like mint sweet tea myself. But when you use a 5 lb. bag of sugar for a gallon of tea, thats too dang much 'sweet' for me!

Yeah, you all can keep those grits thingies too! Blucky! Hubby makes his with eggs scrambled into them, gag! I did learn to eat Hog Jowls and Blackeyed Peas, Turnip greens, and a few other southern things, but you all can keep the 'fat' bread! Oh and boiled peanuts are a very disgusting thing to try and munch your way through, they was gross! I ate 1 and it took me 10 minutes just to get that one down.

Thank Goodness Richmond has come around and most place have sweet tea....

We found this little bbq place we eat at when in Richmond and there sweet tea is awesome and the BBQ is like at home.....
