I have decided to quit working and retire, add to the national debt. Whatever, my dog trees the same since my man lost, my bank account is untouched every thing is the same, people make this country what it is. Congrats to the 53 percent working.

I dont think secession is a serious answer to our problems. We need active participation in the country we have. And as far as our constitution goes I feel it is and has been crapped on for a while now. If u think the constitution is gona protect you from the government we have now I got two words for you OBAMA CARE. To them the ends justify the means.

UKC should delete this post! This is the bluetick section not politics! Post this on the off topic section. This is a sore loser topic that is mouthing off about not getting his way. The election is over. Obama is the president. I believe anyone has the freedom of speech but do it on the off topic section!

You don't think they are civil unrest already? We the people are freaking sick of working for everything and giving most it away. When I was in the military I swore to defend the United States of America from all enemies, foreign and domestic. And, I grew up giving the Pledge of Allegance. My pledge still stands.

And, those folks wanting to seceed need to study some history and look up what Sherman did to Georgia.

Pretty sure that when I was in the military I swore to protect the constitution, and to protect the country from all enemies both foreign and domestic.

Some will argue, and I fought to protect the right to free speech, that there are forces at work in the government that don't have the American people in their best interest.

By the way....you ever read or had this read to you?

Dave it's not like the folks that are signing these petitions are fighting for slavery....quite the opposite is true. They feel as the founding fathers did that they are being taxed without representation. I know I do.....

I just did a quick check, and the deeply blue state that you are from (Illinois) has a state owned debt of about $271.1 BILLION, the state of California is in debt to the tune of somewhere in the neighborhood of $617 BILLION, and the deeply blue state of New York? You guessed it $300 BILLION. All of these states are "deep blue" states.

Indiana, the state that I am from, and a bright red state to be sure had a budget SURPLUS of $2 BILLION last year, and every tax payer is getting a refund for the overage!

Now, tell me why I should continue drinking the deep blue kool-aid, and not the bright red?

What sherman did to georgia was a disgrace to our union. Anybody with a half ass army could over run a militia full of old men and young boys. Then loot and pillage a city full of women. At the end of a war. We need to protect our constitution and our rites like my forfathers did or we are in for a whole lot worse than what sherman's army did. Our country is being run by godless men now. They wont have any constraint when the lives of our families come into question. We need to unite not devide.

You guys are big time flag wavers when the election goes your way and all of the breaks are going to the wealthy and the big corporations. You want to seceed when you got out voted. You cry about human welfare and then give big corporation "corporate welfare" and give the folks who don't need the money big tax breaks.

I think many are fighting for economic slavery.

Like I said, this thread is full of sore losers. Get used to it, I think Clinton will easily win the next election.

In no way am I a "sore loser". I stood pretty clearly on what I felt were pretty strong positions on the economy, the failed economic policies of the Obama administration. I just about fell out of my chair when I saw the Vice President say that the administration was going to spend it's way out of debt. I felt this way LONG before the election started.

Having a background in business, I know that the health care bill is a job killer. I know several businesses that were holding back on hiring plans, or expansion plans that have cancelled them because of the costs associated with increases in taxes and health care costs.

I was "sore" before the election....and up until such a time that the current administration proves that it is willing to actually listen to business, to cut spending, and to actually submit a budget for that matter....until the truth about Benghazi and what the President knew or didn't know...and if he didn't know, why didn't he know...until a health care reform bill is passed that is agreeable to the states in which the responsibility for enforcement of the bill...until we have the transparency, the hope, the change, the bipartisan spirit that we were promised, I will continue to be sore.

Again, not trying to stir trouble, but if a liberal run state is in deep debt, and a conservative state has a surplus...please tell me why I should have been drinking the liberal Kool-Aid?

If you want comunism and control of our markets go somewhere else and get it. The reason our country is great is because of freedom not the government. And hell yea im sore about the results. Im sore that my tax money goes to kill unborn children. Sore that it pays half ass teachers to try and indoctrinate my children. And Im sore that it is fraudulenty given to unions to buy votes. If you think the site should clear this post then why the hell you keep coming back to it with ur john stewart informed mouth diaharea.

So Dave, help me understand where you think jobs come from. Do you think the Unions create jobs? How about the job fairy. They come from the wealthy and big corporations. And YES....the wealthy and big corporations are going to go into "preservation" mode to protect the wealth. Shoot, if I had any wealth I would protect it too...

How about this. REAL tax reform, with a closure of tax loopholes that does not punish success.

Here is what I find amazing. I understand that you are very "pro-union", and I don't have a problem with that. However, did you pay taxes on your union dues? Probably not...as most union dues are taken out before tax computation. Guess what...the unions don't pay taxes either. So the billions of dollars collected each year in union dues are "tax free" dollars....some of those "tax free" dollars are in turn contributed to pro-union political candidates....huh...imagine that.

And the auto bailout. We the taxpayers lost about 23 BILLION extra dollars on that in order to save the UAW. The UAW was one of the primary drivers behind the loss of profitability. An average GM wage of over $70.00/hr in wages and benefits...and over $75.00/hr for Chrysler employees....good grief. If it were not for the governmental bailout of the UAW and auto industry, the UAW would have been susceptible to collecting monies owed them by the automakers at the same rate of all other debtors....and 26 BILLION dollars went into the treasury of the UAW.

So, please tell me again how all of the breaks go to wealthy and corporations?
