Tennessee Hunters, I need your help- Lost/Stolen Dog

A good friend of our's, was hunting one of our hounds (Quail Hill's WV Harley), in VanBuren County, , on Rymer Mountian, near Spencer, Tn.

The dog(s) were struck and running when they suddenly quit, the other hounds came back but Harley never returned, never a beep on the tracker either, nothing,this was Saturday night 2/09/08. I'm here in WV so not much help to him,that's why I'm asking for you guys to keep an eye out and help us find Harley. Everyone please be on the lookout for this dog,

He's about 70-80 lb mostly white with big red spots, squally-choppy mouth on track and hard steady tree dog, gentle as a kitten. Thanks !!

there's alot of sink holes in that area, hope he didn't fall in one. had a friend lose 3 one night there in a sink hole. hope you find him... i will keep my eye out for him when i'm in that area...

We talked about that,but don't you think he should still be able to track him?, Kinda got me at a loss, I do appreciate it though!!Any ideas are appreciated.

wv...I hate to hear about yopur dogs. I am orignally from just north west of there and will attest to the sinkholes and caves. I would guess your dog fell in a sinkhole or crevise in a bluff,or cave.
No...a collar wont give much signal from underground unless you are right on top of it. I have found this out from experience.

Thanks for the info, ain't lookin' good,huh?, are they to large for a dog to crawl out of, those are new to me, not any in this area, just trying to figure something out,,Thanks!!

I have seen them that youcould crawl a little ways into and then they jsut dropped off ...

I am sorry about your dog.We will keep our fingers crossed. He could still show up.

Eric Have him to walk to where they last heard the dog Start tracking there if he is fifteen feet under ground you have to get within couple hundred yards have him to ask some old timers if there is caves in the area if he is in a cave you will not get a signal unless you are at the mouth of the cave.

there are alot of holes in that area...ive hunted there a few times...my buddy lost a dog to a cave for 2 weeks and he finally got a signal when he was right on top of her...had to repel down and get her luckily she was still alive...i seen harley at my uncles...he sure is a nice lookin hound...hope he is found...if i can help let me know

hey eric, i just got in a few minutes ago i've been walking for over 3 hrs and i've not the first signal . i talked 2 a couple people before i went to where i turned the dogs lose . and they said they haven't seen a dog . or heard one . was going to call you while i was out walking but no signal . i'll give you a call over the weekend . i'll go back up there saturday and ask around . talk to ya soon gary simmons
