Big Country pups
What happen to the thread that was just started about big country pups. It was put on here today and had several responses then gone....was it deleted?
I, the author, removed the thread.
Do Big Country pups start early or late?
Other information would be appreciated.
In the two responses I received l learned that some start early and some late. To the two gentlemen that shared thank you for responding.

What I have I would call bluetick mutts. I grew up hunting and used to call them smokey river bred hounds and I still have some of that blood but nowadays they have just a little bit of everything mixed in. Heinz 57 Blues...
I'd be lying if I said I didnt have any preference or pull towards certain lines of dogs but you dang sure couldn't tell by papers of the dogs im hunting now.
I'm familiar with BC and the dogs on his topside. Thats why I find the post about BC and his pups interesting. Big country was a extremely nice dog and reproduced some nice ones just like his daddy and grandad before him. They all had their faults but had similar style in the way they hunted. Everybody has their opinion as I have mine but I enjoy hearing and seeing things come about from peoples experiences on what is an will always be a Legendary Bluetick.

I've noticed people making crosses from different breeds and I got curious. Another reason for the curiosity is that I'm purchasing a BC x Utchman cross.

Nice, I think nice utchman females would cross as good as anything on Big country. The young male dog Im hunting right now is out of a half brother to Big country and a smokey river / Utchman female.
There has been a few heavy utchman females crossed on BC and IMO they have been the strongest crosses so far. These BC X uthcman crosses are already starting to show out and they are just getting started.
I bred a very nice Jet bred female to BC. Her name
Is Blue Creek Saturday Night Special aka Speck.
She had 6 pups. One of them was born dead. 5 pups
were raised. Of the 5 4 will tree their own coon and do it pretty good. The 5th pup is just recently starting to click. I would have no problem breeding another female with the same bloodlines to him in the future.
