Your thoughts on updating world hunt qualifying

With the new hunt format I figured I'd start a thread just to see what people thought about changing the world hunt qualifying format. I myself would like for it to be 4 or 5 cast wins and your qualified. Then have Grand Nite Champions just be qualified for life. I for one don't like chasing RQEs all over the country or if I only go to one and don't have any luck. I just think this would work out good. What's your thoughts

I don't mind the way it is right now , but then again I have never made through the zones either , the idea does have some merit. 1 you have to have a dog and 2 a little luck does not hurt either , 3 both dog and handler need to be in sync. 4 I do not know anything I only hunt extra trashy depression era sportsmen hounds.

I like the xisting format just as is.
Get Q'ed once, if u gotta go to more than 2 to get Q'ed u prolly won't make it thru the zones.. JMO.
Year to year program .... Nothing entitled just cuz it's GRNITE!

I agree, what is the matter with the way it is now? If you can't get a win at an RQE, then you might as well not go to a Zone. And if you can't win at a Zone then you have no business going to the Finals. I think that it is a pretty good system. Of course if UKC was just a business and worried about the bottom line, they would up the entry to $150 and let everyone re-enter 3 or 4 times.

UKC is just a business and worried about the bottom line, thus the prize package for winning it all. I know people who have had to go to more than 3-4 RQEs to advance..

There is nothing wrong with current format. The only thing that I would change is Friday night of the world hunt being based on high 3 scores moving on and bottom scores going back out. It is the 9nly time in the hunt that your score matters instead of being a plus point winners moving on.
