Skining skunks.
A lot of us did it a a kid we would wait till the next morning after they got stiff they got thin skin kinda like a rabbit plus you could cut around the stink part better $2 for a skunk hide was easier than hunting pop bottles we was rich and we kept our skunk hunting cloths outside lol.
Draw out the skunk essence with a syringe and save it. About $30-$40 an ounce!!!!!
Your tuffer than me lol. I was immune to it back then can't stand it now.
LOL I was never immune to them. Just know of some fellows that hunt and trap that does it. They sell it to people who make lures for trapping.

Ive started to skin a few but could never get the job done
Back in the late 70's early 80's when we trapped for fox and coon we'd get an occasional possum or skunk, my husband always skinned them. I remember an old fur dealer telling us how nice our skunks were, but he could only give us $2/ea. Also, remember Chuck's uncle telling him he had to get up in the middle of the night to move our truck out of his garage (his auto repair shop was in the garage under his house) because everyone in the family got sick from the skunk smell coming from the back of the truck 😉
reminds me of when my brother and I put a skunk on the school bus. what a laugh.

Used to skin, flesh, and stretch them regular as a kid. I was hard on muskrats with conibears but when it came to foot traps, skunks, possums, and cats were my most successful catches. Lol
If I remember right I got around $2 for a skinned and stretched skunk and that was at a time when a good muskrat would bring $9-$10 and a top coon could fetch you $35 and higher.
Don't know how I did it. I do remember my mom making me keep my skinning clothes in the shed until season was over. Lol.

Fathom the hypocrisy of a government that requires every citizen to prove they are insured… but not everyone must prove they are a citizen. Now add this: Many of those who refuse, or are unable, to prove they are citizens will receive free insurance paid for by those who are forced to buy insurance because they are citizens.
