Video cameras

What is the best small pocket size video camera at a reasonable price. I've got a garmln virb but just don't like. Seems some of the little larger sizes work better.

I have the go pro. I was 20 yards from one at a crossing and it looks like I was a mile away.

Yeah that's the way this one is . Sometime it records sometime it don't. Thought one that zoned in would work better. A bear up a tall tree looks like a coon. Just don't know what is the best. Don't want to make another mistake.

Thanks Kory that's what I was looking for to buy something that someone had. I'll check it out.

The not being waterproof is a deal breaker for me. I like the go pro chest mount. For some reason my go pro is dead most of the time I go to use it. It might be good for getting rig videos or close bay ups but is not good for crossings or tall trees as you stated.

Go pro

Check the Wi-fi setting on the camera, it should only be on when transferring files. It will smoke battery fast if it is searching for network.

Has anyone tried the drift ghost 4 camera. I am not sure if the dog vest would work in my ground. I think the camera screen would blur really quickly.

The Garmin Virb and GoPro cameras were never made to shoot video of hunts with the fixed wide angle lenses. There are many consumer models made by Sony, Panasonic and Canon that will shoot HD video on an SD memory card. I will say that if you want to greatly improve the quality of the video, spend a little money on a tripod so that video doesn't look as though it was shot in an earthquake.
Adios,
Gary
