RQE Question

Can you have just a backup handler or can you have the usual two spectators ? Also can a dog as nt.ch. pick up another nt.ch. win if he got one the year before ?

One backup handler per dog. You can usually get another handler take your second spectator.

There is no restriction on the number of NT CH wins you can get at RQE's but you can only qualify once each year unless one qualifier is an all breed hunt.

EDIT: You can only qualify ONCE each nite hunt year. When you qualify you can not WIN again for that year. You CAN qualify again the next year. You can get a NT CH win each year. You can also hunt and win in your breed pacific RQE even though you have already qualified.

so am I reading this right? you can qualify a dog at a r.q.e. buy placing in the top 10 and continue to hunt the same dog you qualified in r. q.e. events the rest of the year and still get night champion wins on it by placing in the top 10? if that's correct then it would eliminate other dogs from qualifying for the zones .I always thought the r.q. e hunts were set up on a one win and done to keep the hunts so provided enough dogs entered each had 10 qualifiers.

Once u quali. a dog @ a RQE. that dog is done.
UR just wasting UR $ by entering him in other rqe's.

The rule book says only one backup handler per dog.

I would also like to know the answer to ThomasG's question.
You say "once you qualify your dog that dog is done" I realize your done qualifying you dog but "can you still get NITECH wins by entering the dog in other RQEs?". This is a good question because a RQE is a good place to put a NITECh win on a dog.

Posted by Bill(Chew) on 04-04-2016 01:58 PM:

If you qualify your dog at a breed specific RQE then you are through until the next year's round of RQE's. One qualify and one win toward ntch or grntch.

If you qualify at a regular RQE you may enter your dog in it's breed specific RQE and will receive the win toward ntch or grntch but it is only qualified once.
