Gr Nt Ch Hillbillys Lazer Red Reg

Does anyone even know anything about this dog? Where in the world did he come from. I have heard a lot of rumors and stories but I would love to get the "facts" on this mystery dog/handler/owner. Can anyone shed any light on these urban legends?

1. What does his pedigree look like? I have heard that he is "Barnyard " bred. I don't know if that means that he is out of the proverbial two dogs that were tied out behind a barn or that he came from that Delcamp guy that everyone is always talking about.

2. Who in the world is Bruce Schooley? Where did he come from? It says that he is from Wisconsin but if so why in the world do they call him "Hillbilly"? I have also heard stories that he is an older gentleman that didn't even know what a coon or coondog was until he met Professor Joe Maitland 3 or 4 yrs ago. Supposedly Joe took Mr Schooley under his wing, gave him a pup and showed Mr Schooley and the pup just what competition coonhunting is all about. And just look at where he is now. If that is true, maybe we all need to go up to Mr Maitlands and enroll in his coon college.

3. I looked all over the Stud Dog forum but I couldn't find a site for Reggie. Is he not a male dog? How old is he?

Cool

I think hillbilly was a migrant worker from down south (talks funny). Then when he came to the big lake, must of thought it was the end of the road and just settled in the cracks.

Decisions-

I cant decide which horse to hook my wagon to! My buddy Hillbilly and his Rage pup, my buddys Andy and Richard with their new hotdog Boone, or the hot young stud Shine who me and my uncle Bill bred Tammy to! Is there any way they can all make the Final 3 and just TIE?!?!

Congrats guys!

So Reggie is out of Rage? That makes him a T-Top Rabble grandson. Who is his mother? Doesn't anyone know the answers to my questions. Why is that Barnyard guy being so quiet? Is his head swelled up so big that he can't get it off of his pillow? Professor Maitland, are you coming down to Flora with Andy?

I guess that Reggie and Hillbilly will remain a mystery for now. No one seems to want to claim to know them. I heard from a third party that Dave Geiger and Ryan Spatchek actually trained Reggie but I don't know if that is true or not. I bet that if they win big in Flora there will be a lot of people coming out of the woodwork saying that they know them. Maybe I will be able to find something out in Flora tonight.

Good Luck Hillbilly. Had lots of laughs with him at the zones.

I've had some great pleasure hunts the last couple of year with Reggie and Hillbilly.
Best of luck at the Finals you 2.

I guess that Hilbilly and Reggie will just fade out into obscurity again until next September.

Delcamp is being quiet for once in his life… he deserves some credit here.

When I first moved back to the Midwest from AZ four years ago, I went over to John’s place. I told him I would be traveling fairly steady over the next few months and was headed to MN in a few days. John asked if I had the ability to haul any pups to WI on that trip.

This is something I just don’t do much of anymore because all too often it turns into a Billy Goat Roping contest…too many times, when you try to do a favor and help deliver a dog, the folks on the receiving end are not on time or suddenly had a change in heart, or something came up at the last minute and they had to leave at noon instead of six in the morning and don’t bother to tell you that or a list of any other 100 excuses…

I agreed to do it, but under the following terms. I said, “John, you tell Joe Maitland or whoever is coming to pick them up, that they HAVE to be on time, I am on a very tight schedule, and if they are not on time, I am going to turn those puppies loose in the parking lot and keep driving.”

I think we were supposed to meet outside of Milwaukee, but ended up meeting at a Hooters close to Madison…..when I left Joe had all those girls in the orange short shorts out looking at those three or four pups!!!

I always heard great things about the Rage dog but think this was one of less than a handful of litters they were able to get out of him. I believe they all made decent coondogs!

Good Luck Bruce!
