Moving

Im from illinois and were thinking about moving to johnsonville tennessee. Does anyone live or hunt around there? Or know any place id be able to hunt? Any help is greatly appriciated.

I'm 45 minutes- an hour away depending on where in JC.....We don't have thick coons like ILL, but you can tree a bunch here in the right spots. You will either be hunting the mountains (which I don't coon hunt these mountains), river and creek bottoms, small corn patches here and there, but very few for the general area. Mostly wooded ridges and hills, bottomlands and flat land on the water scources Your welcome to come down for a hunt any time...

Thanks appreciate that! My old lady went to school there a few years back and loved it there. We have been talking about possibly moving down there depending on work, and of course good hunting places lol.

You will be wanting to move back after a couple of years. Its NOTHING like what you have now. Yes you can tree coon, but its a different world and different type of hunting.

your prolly right hobo, it would be alot different hunting in thin coon compared to up here where there everywhere. We were just kinda tossing the idea around about getting out of illinois.

I have friends in Southern,Illinois.........They hate the fact that Northern Illinois gets to tell them how to live!

thats chicago for ya... I know a couple guys from there that deer hunt down here and they weren't allowed to have any firearms in chicago even though they legally could in the state of illinois.
