clubs?

are there any bear hunting clubs in nh,vt,oe maine that have drags or a mechanical bear?

Up here in Maine we hold bear trials at all our coon clubs...just had one yesterday at mt Abrams coonhunters club in kingfield Maine....if interested our next bear trial is at downeast houndsmen association club in Calais Maine Sunday June29th.....field trials,water race, & treeing contest....all done with a drag and mount in tree....hope this helps.....

You may want to check out Redfield N.Y. ,it may be within reasonable driving distance ,
They are having a big game trial on Sat. June 21st. and should be a good time !

NORTHEASTERN BIG GAME TRIALS

Bear bay deadline 8:30 am

Field Trial 12pm

Water race 4 pm

$10 ENTRY FEE for competitors, plus $5 per event, per dog. all entry fees for events goes to the club.

BEAR BAY. (mechanical bear)
the bear bay will be a 3 dog cast due to the amount of hounds we have coming and the time we have to get this done in 1 day. if your only bring 1-2 hounds, you can try to team up with someone in the morning before the event or you will be put in a cast by random draw, just like field trials.

FIELD TRIALS.

field trial will be a 6 dog race, with line & tree winners.

WATER RACE.

the water race will either be a 4 -6 dog race
