coons

I live in northern Iowa, we have a about 6 inches of snow yet but have been treeing about 2 or 3 coon a nite and about 7 or 8 den trees since its warmed up, treed 4 last nite and 6 den trees. About the middle ot the end of January it will pick up when they start to breed, oh most have been boar coons.

Was bird hunting Sunday afternoon and saw a coon cross the road just past noon. Kinda weird.

The temps have been dipping into the low-mid 20 s at night here, but many of the coon track Im seeing are laid when the snow was much softer....During the day probably.

If I had time, and was more abitious I would cut a dog during daylight hrs.....But I dont, and Im not.
