rule question

dog a is struck deep cast moves that direction to hear better dog b strikes behind cast & goes opposite direction.dog a trees &cast goes into tree & tree is scored my question is where do you start clock on dog b for not barking

is there a rule on this somewhere im new to hunts & would like to know the rules. i couldnt find anything on the back of the scorecard. the judge said he could put the clock on as soon as he put the leash on his dog & scored the tree.i thought you had to go where dog was last heard.

I was having trouble with the rules on the back of the cards as well, call UKC and get a book called the Advisor, it breaks the rules down and gives examples a whole lot easier to understand. It helped me .
