question for allen

#1 dogs are cast two minutes into hunt they catch something on ground. what should be the next move.

#2 dogs are stationary five is put on and up go to dogs they are in hole are they scratched or not

that's my thinking also, but do you have to go see what they caught or can you put stationary on them and hope they leave.

YOU NEED TO KNOW FOR SURE THAT IT IS A TREE BEFORE STATIONARY. AND THIS COME FROM ALLENS MOUTH IF YOU THINK THEIR IN A HOLE ASK THE CAST WHAT THEY THINK AND IF THREE OF THEM SAY YES THEN YOU PROCEED AND CHECK

i meant catching something on ground. what's correct way of scoring situation.

on question 1 dogs caught something on ground nite ch rules. what do you do correctly. ( i dont think it was done correctly in the case im describing)

Im not Allen, but I will try to answer it for you.

1) is a judgment call for the judge. If he thinks they caught something, go directly in and see. If he thinks there treed and nobody calls it, put the 5 on.

2) If the stationary is put on and when you get there there on/in something other than a tree, back off and let them work untill a call is made. In order for the stationary rule to be able to scratch a dog, it has to be a tree. Hole, fence, barn, brushpile, whistle, none of it counts. Has to be an actual tree.
