got treed in the deep ohio snow

went out last night after havin a foot of snow on the ground decided it was worth a shot anyways. dropped my 16 month old pup on the river hunted bout 20 minutes then came back in with nothin

took her up the river bout hundred yards she then crossed the river and started treein bout 200 yards further. didnt want to find out if the river was frozen so went back to the road. finally got to her bout 40 minutes later and sure enough had the meat 2 coons in the top of the tree. i figured it would be a den. she sure made me proud doin in style on a night like that

Snow makes it tough going for me and the hounds. LOL But sounds like you did alright, I just cant wait untill it all melts away.

I had a great night too with my young dog. Had to wear snowshoes to get in deep to one of his trees. After all these years it still feels odd to stand under a coon while wearing snowshoes.

the whole time walkin into the tree i was complainin how i wanted a set of snow shoes or cross country skis..next time ill still be complainin too
