Bear Hunting Passes in Kentucky

Today Bear hunting season was set to open starting next year. What do yall think? Who has any Hot Spots?

briar ridge road is in taylorsville ky and there is no bear there... i promise....ive surveyed that country chaseing after these ol red dogs for years...... pretty big country in some places but no bear to my knowalge any way.....

I am not sure but I seen on Kentucky Afield that hounds are not allowed. This was a couple months back before it was made official but the plan was for no hounds and only about 5 to 10 bears total. I think there are only four counties where you can hunt.

Well reguardless, it is always a good thing when a new hunting opportunity opens up. I hear they have a great elk herd down there. Ky seems to have a very progressive DNR.

My bet would be they are in Eastern Ky..... They'll be killing the bears that Va moved to Sw Va. I guess thats fair since Va kills their Elk.
