Hoosier Tree Dog Alliance News!!

We are in the process of kicking off our statewide “Don’t Shoot My Dog Campaign” patterned after a similar successful crusade developed by the Michigan Hunting Dog Federation several years ago. The goal is education; to instruct the public about the legal and financial consequences of shooting a hunting dog and to communicate the proper procedure to you the hunter if your hunting dog is shot. I’m sure you would agree this is a worthy endeavor in today’s climate of frequent dog shootings. Check out more details of this campaign here: http://www.hoosiertreedogs.org/forum/topic.asp?TOPIC_ID=71 If you would like to join in and help out with this venture, please contact the HTDA “Don’t Shoot My Dog” campaign Chairman Joe Newlin at joe@oakridgecoonhounds.com
The HTDA will be set up in the headquarters building at Autumn Oaks this Labor Day weekend in Richmond, Indiana. We will be officially kicking of the new statewide “Don’t Shoot My Dog Campaign”, providing memberships and selling raffle tickets to support causes such as this. If you would like to help out at the HTDA booth or can lend a helping hand in any other way, please contact one of the HTDA board members: http://www.hoosiertreedogs.org/asp/modules/userpages/showme2.asp?subid=127 and get your name on the list.
The HTDA hats are here!! Thanks go out to our sponsors Larry Pattison of Ultra Advantage Dog Feed and Mike/Judy Kelly of Kelly’s K-Lights. Also special thanks to HTDA Board Member Brad Hall and Rodney Ridenhour of Millingport Hunting Supply for their hard work making this happen. Stop in at our booth at A/O and check em’out, they are sharp:
We are also working on the 2009 HTDA Banquet. We had a great event in 2008 and are planning a bigger and better event for 2009. All members that are interested in helping out with this event and sponsors interested in contibuting, please contact the 2009 HTDA Banquet Chairman Kyle Heminger at hemingerkyle@yahoo.com We appreciate your support!

Phase 1 of the HTDA "Don't Shoot My Dog" campaign is under way!
Please stop by our booth(s) at Autumn Oaks and check out the posters. If you are from Indiana, pick up some posters to have displayed in your area....
We will have complete information for you on where/how to target the posters.....
Also, it would be a perfect time for you to join the HTDA. We will have membership forms as well.
Start planning now for the HTDA banquet. Only members get an invitation, and the banquet is by reservation only....so it's important that you get your membership payed up....
See you at the Oaks!
