trakers?
what kind of trackers do yall use on coonhounds?probably wouldn't have no more than 3 collars and since i have never used one i would like one that is easy to use and would be hunting mostly flat ground and swamp, also on walkers.
thanks for the info,
brian
for range- quick track/wildlife
for easy of use same as above
for avalibilty while out in the timber and wanting to not walk back to your truck for your tracker. maximum and garmin would be your best bet.
it seems like most have went to the max because of this feature and they still reach far enough to find your dogs in MOST situations.
tracker classic 2 dog with marshal tracking collars is what i use and i love it even in these steep hills
I have a wildlife 16 channel and Johnson collars with no complaints. I could pick up a signal at 8 miles just testing it one day. If you go with something like this I would spend the little extra money to get one with noise blankers, isn't bothered by power lines.
IMO.........the Marshall Tracker has it all. It has the range and accuracy of the big systems but folds up and packs nearly as easy as the little systems. Now that I have one I would never own anything else.

I have a qt 6000 and love it. QT also has a small antenna now that you can pack. The add says you don't have to sacrifice range and accuacy but like I said that was the add. The new antenna is $90. May have to try one.
With the new baseplates and antenna modifications out there the Garmin Astro is what I use and recommend.
