We just had our old male to the vet for teeth cleaning and to remove 2 tumors.
It cost us, $95. for cleaning, $40. to remove tumors, and $75. to have them sent to the lab.

Thanks, I was just wondering they said around 150 for removing two tumors one which was rather large and 45 for having them tested.

I had surgery on one of my females that had a tumor in her mamory glands that the vet said was cancerous for sure..They said the surgery would cost around $200 but when it was all said and done it was more

The answer to this question depends totally on the area of the country, the cost of histopathology, and your veterinarians over head costs. There is no way to compare things here and have any kind of apples to apples comparason.

The main reason i don't own more dogs than I do is vet costs. It's outragous, and hits you when you least suspect it. $45 just to walk through the door of the building, then they charge way too much for stuff.

Twenty years ago it would have been 10 bucks. I had one removed from a dog a year ago for 120.

This is exactly what I would have said but I would like to add one more thing it also depends on the location of the tumor and how involved it is (as far as blood supply and what not). In this area of the country when you figure in Ansthesia, the actual surgery, pre-antistetic blood work, antibiotics, e-collar (if needed), and histopath it runs anywhere between 200-350.

Well we had them removed today everything went well just a HUGE cut, really feeling sorry for her. Total cost was 148 for removel (they were located in her utter area) so I didn't feel that was to bad.
