I will say this as a ray of hope against Hillary. If Trump gets close in the states that matter.....behind but it's tight, I will give him the edge to come out on top because I do believe there are a segment of voters, some who have never voted, or haven't voted in yrs, that are not in the population that would get polled, and will go for Trump.

But not enough to make up 3,4,5,6,8 points in those states. He needs to get close enough to where she can see the headlights and hear the horn blowing.

I agree with both Well Started, and Harvey. Trump has tapped into a block of people who may lean republican, but are not conservative. Mostly the tough guy vote ages 18-30. Who really have no idea what they're doing they just hear the name Hillary, and see red. He also is going to get some cross over votes, you can see it on this board. I know of at least two on here that were Obama defenders last time, who have said their going Trump. Plus there is no contrast between Hillary, and Trump so he doesn't scare any liberals, and they are not crazy about Hillary. That may help him, but it also could hurt him. All this seems to work in Trump's favor.

But not enough to make up for the fact that he has completely alienated the conservative base. This board is a fine example of that, nobody on here is defending Hillary. We are two months out from election day, and his supporters are still having to defend Trump against conservatives! Add to that the fact ,that most independents view Trump as a circus clown. So logic seems to back the polls the republican candidate can't get out of the 30's. Hello Madame President!

I thought I saw a hillary yard sign down here earlier in the week and then as I got closer I saw it has for prison at the bottom.
Tom & Harvey you both have way to much faith that we will have anything that even resembles the America we know and love left in 4yrs, I look at where we were at 8 years ago. You know I bet when the pilgrims first landed the Indians didn't see them as having the ability to change their land in such a short time. What will 1 million refugees do to the fabric of our country. You all may be ok with it but I am not, they have turned Europe upside down in very little time.
