Who's your darkhorse choice for the Finals this weekend???

Bryants Broken Pine Katie-owner Lonnie Walters and I assume handled by Rick Bryant. Not sure if she has ever been south of the Ohio River before but she is a cast winner and that is what it takes.

Hardtimes RockyTwo-Nathan Powell. I'd love to see that old dog do well. Another consistant cast winner some years ago but I have no idea how age has treated him.

Big D-Bellar and Whitted. Certainly no darkhorse, he has won at every level all over the country. As tough to beat as anything alive today if he doesn't leave the country.

Valley Creek Tramp-Reggy Ramsey. Same as Big D, been there, done it all, just another night in the woods for Tramp and Shane.

Posted by SLICK50 on 09-22-2009 04:58 PM:

Im going to say Big D 1st and Tramp 2nd. 3rd Speck and 4th another walker male dog.

I would like to see Speck in there so he would be a Tri Registry World Champ!!! I think that would be cool!!!

just because I think it would be funny for a dog to win the world hunt that Dickerson and Meyers sold.

He is a coondog.

My "dark horse" would be Mr. Clean. I watched this dog do some nice work Saturday night at Ashland. He also likes to get by himself!
However this doesn't mean he is my "favorite"

Since we're pickin Dark Horse' I'm gonna hope for a Bludawg of course, cuz I gotta, but for me I would like to see "In It To Win It Reba" owned by Andy & Adam Apt's from up 'nort here win the final dance off. Super good people with a sure 'nuff coondawg regardless of color. She's done proved her worthyness!

"YEP", a Reddawg !

Then there is the "Bonnie" female of Steve Wilson's,Bludawg from Mississippi...

.......................................And Then of course there is that dream team to?!

either one of those picks would make me grin from ear to ear.
I met the Apt boys last weekend and instantly liked them.

Ive never had the pleasure of meeting Mr. Wilson but ive had many phone conversations with him and I hunted Bonnie for him 3 months when she first started. I could be wrong but I dont think she is 2 yrs old yet.

NO DARK HORSE ,BUT I'LL PICK JANICE JOPLIN

Posted by on 09-22-2009 08:37 PM:

JiM,

I learned from you... Always ALWAYS pick the blueticks. With our luck, they're sure to be jinxed and go home early!

Seriously, there is some nice dog power this year. I'm looking forward to how it all shakes out. I have a few I'd like to see do well, but I'll never make a pick... I surely jinx them if I do.

My darkhorse would be Gene Hicks dog Sundown Ryder or Dean millers Bad to the Bones Black Hawk. Ryder is the real deal and is huntin on his home turf. Hawk is a young hound that has already won alot.
Go gettum Black Dogs! and good luck to everyone and have a safe trip.
