Cattle tags
How do people attach the Python tags to dog collars? Does the tag need to touch the dog like a flea collar does?
Thanks
Zip tie

I have used zip ties but found that I can slip the tongue of the collar thru the hole where the pin would go on cattle. Do this as you put the collar on the dog. The tag will be underneath the collar and I have never lost one that way.

So the tag should actually touch the dog not just hang down from the collar
.
I have seen them folded over and then riveted. Making a channel or sleeve for the dog collar to slip through.
Good question about issues with them touching the dog.

Personally never had a problem with it touching. In fact I prefer it to so I know the ingredient is getting on the dog. I would suspect that there will be some with allergy problems as there are for about every tick collar.
