Gray fox run figure 8's. Red fox run roughly a 300-800 yard loop, coyote will run a big big circle or straight line for miles.

I used an 8 track in my 1971 GTO. Just adding some humor for some the younger coonhunters who may not know what an 8 track was. However on your question I'd say a Moma Fox trying to lead away from her Den. Please don't think I was highjacking this post its just been along winter waiting on my dogs mouth to get better. Good luck finding out what your running.
