History of Coonhound for school son's school project

My 8 year old son is doing a project for school on the history of coonhounds. I know there is a little bit of information in the Official UKC Coonhound Rulebook, but we were looking to expand a little. Any books or websites that you can point us in that direction would be great.

School. Project

There is a book called the American trail hound author Fred streever great book talks about hounds being imported from England France etc prominent people owning these hound like George Washington colonel birdsong dr Henry you can google it and have it sent to you not expensive it’s an old book so it will come used libraries clean out there inventory and other companies resell them hope this helps

UKC Book

I have this UKC book. Has alot of information about coonhounds, influential people and the formation of the United Kennel Club. Has info on other types of dogs but mostly hounds. If you know anyone with a copy it would be a great resource. If not I would be happy to mail this to you to borrow. If time allows before his project is due.
