dc40 issue

My dc40 collar comes on for a couple minutes the goes off. the light blinks normally the goes solid red for a couple seconds then turns off any ideas? Is it junk now?

I have DC 40 doin the same thing. ..I put a new battery in it and it didn't change.....may fox yours though

take the back cover off and check the circuit board for moisture or corrosion. contact clear and light brushing may help if you see corrosion or discolored spot. Put it on the charger and turn it on and see if it stays on then. You might see a different color light because the blue and red will be on at the same time.

took off back cover all internals looks good no corrosion and plugged into charger and turned on but would not stay on. seems like the battery is bad? can you get new ones and put in?

Alright sounds good thank you mr conkey for your help.

So i bought a new battery installed it worked for about 30 minutes the went dead again. Hooked it back up to the charger and the blue light blinked for 30 seconds then went to solid blue tried the collar again only lasted 5 minutes. Any ideas?
