Ted

Now that Cruz campaign for Republican nomination for President has ended. What was the smartest thing he did for his campaign??

That probably seemed like a smart comment to make about Trump at the time. But it sure did come back to haunt him and probably was the single dumbest move that he made. You can say that it cost him the nomination. If he had done better in New York, he would probably still be in the race. I wonder who the speech writer was that came up with that comment and if he realizes what he did?

Well I was told that the smartest thing he did was to put Fiorina on his ticket as VP.. Because she brought the experience of laying off associates when he suspended his campaign..

True story. I seen Geraldo Rivera just prior to the NY primary, madder than a wet hen and acted like he woulda choked Ted if he was there, over Ted's comments about New York. 3 weeks later or however long it was when Ted dropped out, Geraldo was on the same news show arguing that Trump will win over other voters by pivoting to his New York values. Guess Ted was right.

I just realized that I misread your topic. I replied with the dumbest thing he did, not the smartest thing. But it worked out ok anyway.
