Dean Testerman of Marion, Virginia
To my hunting friends: I received a call from Randy Hall of North Carolina to tell me of the passing of my longtime friend Dean Testerman of Marion, Virginia. He was 77 years old. Dean was a longtime member of the Southeastern Treeing Walker Association serving in many capacities over the years. When I was a youngster attending my first UKC events in southwestern Virginia, Dean was always there. I've hunted with him, hired him to judge bench shows and enjoyed his friendship for more than 50 years. He died peacefully in his sleep on Thursday, December 18th. Here's the link to the funeral home in Marion. Funeral arrangements are incomplete.

That's sad. I haven't seen Dean in a long time but always enjoyed talking to him at the events. He sure loved those Treeing Walker hounds. Our thoughts are with his family and friends.

Sorry to hear about Dean, when I lived in that area in the early 70s he was hunting a dog by the name of Testerman's Chief, Dean really liked that dog.

Sorry to hear this. What a great man. Always enjoyed seeing him at SETWA Days. I'll miss seeing and talking with him. Good to hear he passed on peacefully. RIP.
Sorry to hear about dean. I was just asking someone the other day how he was doing. I showed many dogs with dean being judge and he was always the master of hounds at the same event. Always enjoyed talking and cutting up with him. He will be missed. Praying for his family.
