I've always thought once qualified you can't hunt in any more qualifiers for the year...
My take on it? If you wanna spend your 30$ to try for another win why shouldn't it be allowed? Another dog might get beat? Well...it is the world hunt qualifiers ain't it? It is a competition isn't it?
I don't like that way of thinking...if your dog deserves to goto the world hunt it will place in a qualifier. Whether or not every dog there has previously placed in a qualifier...
If that theory worked...why do we have to qualify yearly? Why not once in a dogs life time? That way all the new dogs can qualify without having to beat dogs that have already qualified.....
Just my thoughts...

Only time you can hunt a dog already qualified is in a breed specific rqe
Rule book page 88 section (10).

Any dog already qualified for the World Hunt is an ineligible entry at a RQE, with exception to a couple of the Chartered Breed Associations that have a breed specific only Thursday night RQE at their annual breed days.
If any dog already qualified places at a RQE the dog is flagged in UKC's system. The cast win is awarded to the next high scoring dog provided it had a total score of plus points.
So basically you saved the guy $30 because UKC would have caught it in the paper work if he had won and taken it away anyway . I believe they can show again but only can receive Purina points once . Most don't do it twice for the same reason .
