K9 Kondo Users

Do you have a hard time keeping straw/hay in the Kondo's? I put one together and couldn't "load" it up like I normally would with the barrel. The weather is nice so I'm not too worried about it right now.

Are your dogs keeping warm enough in the winter? What temps are you using it at? I want to test one this winter before I switch all the dogs over.

I've been told by Dog Den users that in the Pacific Northwest they are always wet inside so I went with the Kondo instead.

k9 kondo's

ive had good luck with mine!.never had issues with dogs pulling hay out except for a young dog i had.so he just slept on the plywood i put over the metal.in general there fine.just after 6 years u have to do some work to them.metal rots out inside & out.but mine are still good now.needs some work tho.i figure ill get another year or so outta them.

What's a K9 condo?

It is the kit for the plastic barrels. Comes with the door, legs and vent in the back. It seems nice except there isn't much of a lip to keep straw in. I have a couple pictures of mine but I'm too lazy to upload them on photobucket right now. Cleo, I posted a couple pictures of mine on my facebook.

I have K-9 Condo doors on my dog building with plastic barrels w/o doors inside the building. No problems with the cold here. If moisture condensing inside is an issue, you simply drill a couple of holes in the barrels to allow moisture laden air to escape.
