Belgian Malinois

Anybody know someone that raises Belgian Molinois? Been trying to find a pup to fool with but not having any luck. The few that I have seen been crazy money for a pup.
Anybody ever been around these dogs?
THANKS

As a result of budget cuts local and county PD have lost their funding to retain their k9. So for the last few years our k9 at work have filled the need for local PD; however, now the prison I work at will no longer be able to because our k9 program is on the budget chopping block.
I've talked with local PD and they would like to have private individual with a k9 to help with drug searches. The down side to this its all on my dime. I've been dog nut most my life so the ideal of findind a way to help PD and feed my need of working with dogs is a win win for both.

Man,Man.

In my opinion U are going down a dead end road. Retired officer with over 30 yrs and was in charge of our K-9 unit with 6 mals duel dogs, 2 labs narc and 3 blodhounds man trailing, No way would I take on the liability you ar asking for. If the locals don't want a K-9 unit then let it be they can afford it better than you. Law suit city in my opinion. Way, Way to much work for a hobby . BUT WHAT DO I KNOW?.

With that resume you know way more than I do when comes to this subject. Not wanting to get into bite work end of it just drug detection. I agree 100% on the liability issue. I like a high drive type dog, even in my hounds.

Just my opinion

BUT with that said : By all means follow your dreams just ask yourself why you dream. Have a goodon and I will see you down the road. H L Meyer
