Lake Guntersville Alabama info

Were trying to plan a trip down there fishing in March. I was just wondering how the fishing would be that time of the year. Any info would be helpful Thanks in advance!!!!

March is the line of change of the changing season on Lake Guntersville and close rivers like the TN River.......grass is on bottom waiting for the water to warm.........Depending on temps, if cold, Bass will be in pockets and creeks. If wamer weather, then water will be warming and bass moving. Spawning season is Mar/Apr and as the water warms, the Bass will be in shallow water.

i went last year in march and we did real good. i would recomend fishing more towards scottsboro i think the place i put in is called goose pond. we done real good on xcalber 50 series gold and red in color.

I prefer fishing around the Goose Pond side of Lake Guntersville as djones mentioned.

a guy i work with goes every march and said last year he caught one 9 pounds 7 ounces on a red and chrome ratltrap, he said everything he uses is red and he does good every year.
