dog got shot
a woman shot the dog took the tracking collar, tie collar and shocking collar off threw the dog in the woods behind her house and took the collars in the house. she said the dog attacked her pitt bull so she shot it.we have 4 charges against her. just worndering if anyone else has had this happen and what happend.
Sorry bout your loss, that a real bummer. Id dought that any hound would attack a pitt bull.....probably the other way around.I herd of this before, but never herd the end result. Ill see if I can find out.
good luck hope all works out sorry about the gog..

WHAT STATE DO YOU LIVE IN, THAT HAS ALOT TO DO WITH WHAT THE LAWS ARE. I AM A DEPUTY SHERIFF IN NORTH CAROLINA, WE HAVE GOOD LAWS AGAINST SHOOTING DOGS. BUT STILL I HAVE SEEN IT GO BOTH WAYS.
I agree it would also help to know what state you're in. Here in Pennsylvania we also have laws concerning shooting of dogs and removal of tracking collars.
i live in va.the county we were in seemed very helpfull.they took two arrest warrents to her house that night,it is a friends dog and i had a hour and half drive home so idid not go to sheriffs office they said they did not need me.two more warrents were going out the next mourning.just dont know what will happen in court.
Heres what I figured out today from an expierienced friend. This was in TN. Its illegal to kill a dog unless me or my dog is under an attack from the dog. They call it theft of property and its based on the value of the dog. My friend was looking for his dog the morning after a hunt on public land. Said his gps showed the dog coming toward the road about 150 yards from him and he herd a shot and the gps showed the dog was treed. He pretty much knew what happened and called the law right then. Come to find out a deer hunter shot his dog cause it was bothering his deer population. What a ####### ediot. This dog just happened to walk by the fool and he decided to shoot it.
Anyways, the ediot went to jail for grand theft(over 500.00$) and had to give my friend the money he had in his dog. I think it ended up costing the dummy bout 1800.00 for the dog, court and the rest of the stuff. Hope it all works out for you.
where in va were you when this happened
