Another scoring ?
A dog trees and there is a limb going over to the tree next to his, the limb appears to be 1.5 to 2in in dia. comes with in 4in. of the tree that the coon is in but does not touch. The coon is all the way across to the opposit side of the tree that the branch comes close to. Is it + or o? Just woundering how every one feels on this.
just according to who the other cast members are its a judgement call at best
Circle or Minus depending on the tree and the time of year..Thats how I would vote to score and Yes I would score it the same if my dog had the most to gain or lose..The best advice I ever got about handling in the hunts is score em as you see em..

The answer likely depends on if you are scoring with a card or with a rifle....

coon crossing out

the only reason you saw the coon he messed up and went up a limb that it could not cross out on. limbs do not have to touch that you can see look for a limb about two below. the limb it crossed out on may have been two feet from the other tree. if two limbs touch you can be sure that is not the one it crossed out on unless it is big enough to hold his weight without bending. when a coon walks out on a limb it will bend down and he will grab one lower than the one walked out on, not the one that is even.
+ any night with or with the gun.
Both trees are full of leaves I under stand it is a judgement call but what I am wondering is If the tree was O and a ? was brought back to the club how would most of you vote? On these judgement calls i just like to see how most of you guys vote.
