Utah P&Y Lion killed with hounds and Bow!

MY BROTHERS FRIEND THEY ARE ALWAYS TRYIN TO GET ME TO MOVEOUTWEST.
I just got back last night from a Mountain Lion hunt in Utah . We cut a
lion track off a mountain trail and turned a few dogs out and they had the
trail going pretty quickly. We had good snow but the dogs got hung up when
the lion trailed the dogs past three different elk kills, but they kept
the trail going.
After the race went for about three miles we turned a few more hounds out
to help out. We caught up to the race after about 10 miles and the dogs
had the lion bayed on a very steep rock ledge. The lion then bailed and
went down in a canyon that looked very similar to the Grand Canyon ‚ ..it
was rough country!
The lion couldn't lose the dogs and ran up a tree on a very very....steep
mountain. It took quite some time to get to the dogs. The lion was up the
tree standing on some limbs about as big as my leg and in some pretty
thick branches. The dogs were going nuts! I took some video and some
pictures and then got my bow out to see if I could thread an arrow thru
all the branches. I finally got comfortable with a place to stand and drew
my bow back and released an arrow. The arrow hit dead center right behind
the front shoulder and all hell broke loose.
It seemed like everything was in slow motion for me. The lion literally
broke every branch falling straight down and landed amongst the nine dogs.
It looked like a train wreck of lion and dogs as they slid about 200 yards
down the mountain with the lion slashing and biting at the dogs. When they
came to rest the lion was dead and only one dog got bit on the front
ankle. but he was fine.
When I got down to the lion I was in awe of the massive size of him. He
was way bigger than me and stretched over 8 ¬* feet from head to tail. His
teeth and claws were unreal he was a killing machine! After pictures and
skinning him out came the climbing back up the mountain.I cannot describe
what it was like packing that Lion, Bow, Nine dogs etc out of the hole
that lion ended up in! It was straight up with snow up to my hips.
After getting everything out it I knew the lion was huge but was shocked
to learn that after the initial measurements it may be the new World
Record shot with a bow.
I have attached a few pictures so you can see the massive size of him.
Kent

Friends, I'm a lowly coonhunter from Missouri. My Brother and His friends want me to pack up and move out West, They Hunt Idaho, Utah and Wes my brother is trying to by land in Arizona now and is an avid bow hunter.

He Sent Me this From Kent, I have no other info. And Wes and I dont talk as much as we used to, I have asked him these questions, and he has not emailed me back, and has a new fiance right now and is working on that.

I just had to post this on here with all of the pics and stories I've seen and read.

I'm just a coonhunter who likes to go alone and skin coons and run with a good dog or two. and not always have bear spray or carry an ultra lite handgun on me for protection. or fall off of a cliff in the dark.

take care ya'll and like me n my brother say. " Its all fun n games till you fall out of your treestand"

Tim.
