a question as a guide

if u are guiding a cast and u call a land owner to let him know u are on his land that night and make sure its ok of wear ur at and he ask u what u have done so far and u say i have treed one and got 225 should u be scratched... now remmeber the land owner is not at the hunt and is not envolved

From my understanding

Still scratched From wat ive seen in the past. It could be a situation were the land owner knows someone else in the hunt and could inform him. all around my advice stay off the phone unless necisary and most def dont mintion scores. Good luck!!!

Scores are not to be discussed over the phone. It makes no difference who you are talking to. UKC has no way of knowing who you are talkng to and I doubt they even want to go down that road. They did the smart thing by just keeping it simple. You can't discuss scores over the phone with anyone. End of story.

why would you tell a land owner your score anyway

I gotta take back my answer in my post above. After reading the Advisor article on pages 61-62, I doesn't appear that the situation described in the 1st post would violate any UKC ruling. The Advisor states that discussing scores for any purpose detrimental to the sport is an act of misconduct. Calling that landowner and mentioning a score wouldn't seem to meet that defination. Sorry, my mistake.

the man just asked a simple question bout how he was doin an then he answerd simple ,,,, why is that aginst the rules hell its his land your own... i dont see nothing wrong with tellin the man that lets you hunt how you were doing

Yeah, it's not against the rules because you aren't talking to other casts about scores etc.

BUT it's like those church people that go into bars on the weekend to try and get people to come to church. The ONLY ones that know they were there to get sinners to come to church are them and the ones in the bar. To everybody else it looks like ole so and so is being a hippocrite and going bar hoppin on Saturday night and comin to church and claiming the straight and narrow on Sunday mornin.

Just best not to have the appearance of impropriety. Just don't be on the phone unless you have to, and if you do have to don't mention scores whatever you do cause people that don't know you are talking to someone that ain't in the hunt will immediately be suspicious and it could cause trouble.
