Walker Single Reg Question
It says a 3 Gen Pedigree must be known. But then it says on the forum that some Breed Assn's may waive that.
Here's the thing. What if you know a dog is out of papered dogs you just don't personally know them and there is no way of finding out that information?
I know there has been dogs single registered after finding out they were not out of who they were supposed to be, and never did come to find out.
I just don't want to waste my time sending this in and going and having the dog inspected.

if the hound had papers then it was found the listed sire is incorrect you still have a three generation pedagree on the dam i believe only one of the parents has to have a 3 gen pedagree and the other is listed as unknown the pups must conform to the standards of the registered parent plus be able to tree a coon after they pass inspection

in the english breed you have to demonstate the hound can tree a coon to a designated official of the english breed club no moh involved

if your talking about a dog that looks like a certain breed with no knoledge of either parent you would have an awful hard time proving any breeding and i don't think you could get it single registered i have never seen a single registered hound with no known parentage i could be wrong but i have never seen one

This dog meets standards. This dog trees its own game. I am taking him out and having the MOH inspect him.
I KNOW this dog is from reg stock. I just don't know any of the info and have no way of finding it out.
Thus the need for single registration in the first place. I was under the assumtion thats why it's there.

The Treeing Walking Association changed their single registration rules a little.
Use to be able to write unknown on the pedigree but that has now changed.
"Dog must have a known three-generation pedigree and pass Treeing Walker standards. Note: Do not write Unknown on pedigree for owner of sire or dam."
My take on their new rule is that if you do not know the pedigree, the dog would not be eligible for single registration.
Maybe an association member familiar with their new single registration rules will chime in.
So,whats to keep folks from just making up a 3 gen? lol.....Thats about a stupid rule..Heck if I knew all that.More than likely the hounds registered anyhow!
