Alabama State hunt

I wanted to thank the entire Alabama Gang for putting on a great hunt and show this past weekend in Clanton. It was truly first rate and first class. If any of you know the judge who judged the bench show, please pass on to him that I thought that was the best piece of judging I've ever seen in the history of me going to shows and I go back a long way. I didn't win squat, but couldn't disagree with a single pick he made at every level from open reg. to Gr. Champions. He took his time, went over every dog from top to bottom end to end and picked the hound that best met the breed standard. You can't ask more from that.

I will definetly be back next year for this event. I'll be better prepared for sure. haha

If any of you were there let me know. I was the guy on crutches showing the walker female in the Gr. Ch. class. Sorry she didn't show you guys enough. I had someone take a lot of pics for me to critique what to do better and what to work on. If any of you go to St. Jude, come up and introduce yourself. We like meeting new friends and adding "Boots" fans wherever we go.

Also by the way...

If anyone knows who the young girl was that won the bench show with the walker dog let me know her name. She was showing a Red dog that was eye poppin outstanding. Best looking Red dog I ever layed eyes on. Would like to know the story on him as well and I ain't a redbone man. But I could add a different flavor for kicks if they looked like hers, man she is one tough little show gal. her dogs were well prepared as was she.

We were there my wife and two boys showed blue dogs in champion male and grand female. We hunted fri and sat and had a great time. My wife hunted with our oldest son in the nitech and I in reg. with our youngest son. What I can remember is that there were 7 places one english dog, three blue dogs and three walker dogs. Sorry I can not remember the names of the dogs or the owners. I do know the 7th place was a blue dog CH'PR'Turkey Creek Rocky hunted by a friend David Moreland and my son Tyler Byrd(12yrs old) Owner Tyler Byrd. This was the first time we have put Rocky in any hunt. There were 40 dogs hunted Sat. All of the results and photos will be in nexts months American Coon hound Mag. Sorry I cant remember names. I would ask my wife but she is just as bad as I am. Walker dog won dog box

Richard is right, that was Andi Elburn and the redbone male was GRCH 'PR' Elburn's Rock It Red. She gets on here once in awhile and would be happy to tell you all about Rocket if you contact her.

GRCH Little T's Mustang Sally

The overall Show winner was GRCH Little T's Mustang Sally. Taylor was unable to attend so we asked Andi Elburn to take her for us. Andi is an outstanding handler and has been very helpful to Taylor since she got started.

Taylor and Sally won the Overall at Florida State a few weeks ago and also won GRCH Female and Queen of Show at the Georgia State. This little female is tough.

Andi brought Taylor home a nice Diamond Deluxe dog box as well as nice trophies. The redbone male is Rocket and yes he is outstanding. Taylor won her first "real" bench show with him last year at the AKC Ga State Championship. She won overall there with Rocket.

Thanks to AL state for putting on this event and for giving away such nice prizes. And of course - THANK YOU ANDI for taking Sally for Taylor. We knew if anyone could bring it back to GA it was you!!

Priscilla

Here is Mustang Sally

Here is Rock It Red
