My advice is to drive just a little further than you planned, and go see Dean Bitzel in Wabash Indiana.
Dean is one of the best in the business, and because he does not have the DVM behind his name, you won't spend near as much.
NEVERGONE breeding...he advertises in CHB and Cooner.

Surgical Implantation
Is the best with Frozen Semen & any small animal Vet. can do this...very similar to doing a spay....you just don;t remove anything....The timing is critical though. Progesterone levels need to be RIGHT
Here's another list of vets that have received specialized training in fresh chilled/frozen semen.

Ask about doing transcervical rather than surgical implantation. The transcervical is much easier on the female (as well as the wallet), and the sucess rates are the same. It is how most of the up-to-date repro vets are doing it now.

Any more vet info?
We did frozen ai this past month and costs totaled about $750, not including the semen and shipping fees.
