ever have this happen to you?
on a ukc hunt sat, 1st woods had some yeahooooo come in shootin and had to call interferance.... 2nd woods I stayed in the truck. They cut the dogs along this dirt road under an apple tree next to a corn field, the dogs no more get a good track going (@10 min) and all of a sudden I hear grass rattle the moon was so bright I first thought it was a skunk then my eyes adjusted it was a coon! No wait there is another and they are comming straight for me at the truck! Holy cow!!! they went under the truck to the other side of the road. Let me tell you this is the first time I have ever seen this happen and yes I will admit it did scare me : ) Any of you ever have this happen before?

we had a kit coon climb up my mother and the dog treed her LMAo
she was white as a ghost of course everyone laughed except her
i had a silent tracker years ago and his vocal cords were messed up so on a good quiet calm night you could hear him for about 200 yards when he treed. i cut him loose in the woods and waited about 20 min. and i didn't hear him treed so i drove down a couple hundred yards and stopped on a powerline that was grown up in tall grass and when i got out i felt something go across me boots but i thought i was losing my mind until about 20 seconds later my dog ran across my feet and fell treed about 50 yards behind me. if i knew what it was when it happened i might have had to go clean my pants out before i went to the tree.

More than once i've been standing by a tree line listening to a cornfield chase and had the coon run past me or had the coon run up a tree in front of me. It's really cool on a moonlight night watching them climb and then have the dogs come in.
never had THAT happen, but i was hunting with Alton and Theresa Key one night, huning Spencer Glisson's (sp?) JJ JR dog and his 1/2 sister Sun (Thersa's fav. dog) and the coon walked down to the dogs, treed and all, it was pretty sweet, we didnt have to shoot it, or nothing!!

Two years ago on a moonless night, me and two buddies had turned three "real" coondogs and one "wanna be" out. Well the three had just struck about a hundred yards in front of us and we were standing there with our lights off, just enjoying the sounds when all heck broke loose..... About the time I heard one of my buddies scream (like a little girl I might add), my legs got swept out from under me, and the fight was on. In case you have not done it, I do not recommend fighting a pack of wild hogs in the dark. That D*#@ "wanna be" turned into a "real" hog dog, and was extremely proud of himself for bringing those porkies to us. My buddies then started spreading this vicious "rumor" that I too screamed like a little girl that night, but I will deny that to my grave.

One night I was with a Menonite kid while he was trying a new dog. We saw a fox come out of the corn but wasn't being run by the dog. The fox started trotting towards us and I said don't worry he'll turn. About that time the dog saw the fox and started running towards it and the fox turned on the after burners and slammed right into that kids legs. He let out a little yelp (the kid I mean) and it ran into the brush. I stood there laughing, he did too after he got himself together.
