How about some BRAGS - even if you don't know ALL the results?

Battle of the Breeds show

Well I judged the show on Saturday and they had a nice turnout...60 dogs including Pairs and Duals. I can honestly say there was not a bad dog in the show....lots of nice hounds in the line up in every class...I want to also say that the overall attitude of the handlers was really refreshing...everyone seemed to be having a good time and I didn't see any whiners or cryers at the show.

Best Male was a Bluetick owned by Danial and Amy Smith of Oklahoma. Best Female was a Walker owned by Teddy Holcamp of Texas. Champion Male was Hittson's Ripley owned by Robert and Melanie Hittson. Champion Female went to Daniel and Amy Smith's Bluetick Female Blessed Bee. Grand Male was Hittson's Clyde. Grand Female was Jr. Lassister's Ruby. Duals was the Honest Abe dog that Val Nelson now owns and Handles...and Pair went to Blueticks owned by a man named Moss I think.

They brought in a panel for the Overall...Nick Tyner, Bill Taylor and John Foster. The six winners from Fridays show and the six from the Saturday show were put back up. They gave the Overall to Daniel and Amy's Blessed Bee and the Opposite Sex their male winner.

I had a nice time and enjoyed the job and wish a lot more dogs could have won...there were lots of good ones at this show. I also want to thank Jerry West for being my ring steward and Bill Taylor for handing out the trophies and Roxanne Taylor for doing all the secretary work and Allen Gingrich for annoucing the show.

I figure Allen will put the Official Results up later on ...he was flying home today.

Nothing to brag about here...Crow Bottom Blue Jay won 3rd place NT Champion Friday night.
Denver hunted him Saturday night and withdrew him as he said "Jay left a tree and was looking like a idiot."
Guess they all have a night or two like that.

Denver said the blueticks were holding their own Friday.

We had lots of fun!!! My CH female decided to act like a fool. She's alot better female than she showed. It was her first long trip to a show. Lots of pretty pups there. Got to see lots of nice dogs and catch up with some friends.

Were there any pictures of the Battle of The Breeds? Kenny's photbucket pics are not coming up for some reason.

Just curious to see how the Blue Ticks looked... kb

Ida Red,

I took a few photos of the Overall Winners as well as a few candids at the evnt. You can see those by clicking on this link. http://www.ukcdogs.com/HPCoonhounds.htm

They had an event photographer that took all the winners photos. They will send those in to be published in a future issue of Coonhound Bloodlines.
