It must be rough down there or poor weather one of the two. By looking at those scores I would say the best dog in the cast didn't win all of them... probably dogs that stayed out of trouble and did the least , won several of those casts

I know for a fact several dogs that went there with solid double cast wins at the zones and got dry gulched there pitifull. If you don't guide in your best spots at any phase at the world hunt you failed the sport people drove a long ways to be done like that.

8 casts without a winner! Wow! I wonder if that's a first?

Or maybe the dogs that didn't slick tree or trash or have a handler a little to eager to call there dog. You can't make mistakes in thin coon you have to have an honest dog that is willing to work hard to be right. Thick coon is where dogs that do the do the least pull out wins.

The scores were not good for sure. In my opinion it was directly realted to turning loose too early. The coons down here this time of year aren't moving until 11-12. The deadline for the early round was 230 due to having a late round. That forced everyone to turn loose early. There are quite a few of those guides that I know are loaded with coons but you can tree them when its dry and cooms havent walked. I agree with Jay. If the coons had been moving I think there would be different cast winners. The dog who didnt donmuch and lucked up on a coon won. Congratulations to them as you cant discredit their success. Maybe tonight will be better

Have not seen results yet due to system issues. How many hounds of all breeds advanced to second round from State of Georgia?

Or it gives the junk runner the ability to trail all over and finally fall of on coon.

I know if I was there I would have a bad case of lock jaw!

Posted by Midnightghost on 09-22-2017 01:49 PM:

I would have been up set to spent all that money to go to the finals and be in bad hunting. Ukc has done a great job in the past to put every one in coons as I am sure they tried to do this year! I think northern Indiana or that area is the perfect place for the finals dogs have to tree coons not be trailers and make one tree. I just think we should get to see a lot of good dog work.

World Hunt....

I do think they need to hold the World Hunt in Heavy Coon Population.....
Maybe Northern Indiana/Southern Michigan area......some of the Best Coon Hunting in the Country.

I only see `1` dog from Ga but 2 that advanced don't show a state of origin

Welcome to coon hunting in the South. Just think, we do this every night. Yeah, they should hold this hunt up North every year where coons are easy to tree.

Wow!!!! I bet there is a bunch of upset people.. I've hunted all over in Georgia and there were plenty coons everywhere I was at.. only places that were rough was down in the low country some of those swamp edges where thick but other than that I loved hunting in Georgia and I've hunted North , Central , and the low land..

There was a reason I didn't try for the world hunt this year. A buddy from Kentucky that was there. his cast only made one tree. His and another dog and couldn't see the coon.

I love it. Bring a coon dog or bring on the tears.

Cheyenne Cummings, Bobby Talley, or Nick Brady is winning this one. They have brought the dog power.

I am rooting for Cheyenne but I gaurentee there was some dogs that were stout enough for you or me or anybody else that were not put in world hunt woods they had double cast wins in crap that's just as bad as anything Georgia has and that's a fact if you was walking standing up you wasent hunting in the crap they come out of.

Posted by free37 on 09-22-2017 03:18 PM:

Yeah you get that from time to time. Crawling around in thick crap.

The world hunt should never be held in an area with good hunting or a think coon population.
