Rule clarity question
Walking to a closed tree with a single dog and upon arrival a second dog is there treeing so it’s awarded next available tree position. Is that 25 or 75?
If it’s 75 can someone tell me why, if we have a tree count down? Also can someone tell me where it is on the back of the score card?
The reason I ask is there seems to be a lot of confusion about this at the hunts and I’d like to be able to show it specifically if the situation arises.

25 on off game or slick.
Its right there in black and white under section 4
4(h)" Dogs treeing but not declared treed, when Judge
arrives, will be assigned and minused 25 tree
points on off game or slick tree. Dogs shut-out* on
strike on slick tree or off game will receive minus
tree points only. Refer to Rule 6 (f) for Champion
Division casts and off game. "
Next available is 25 when the tree is dead.
Thought I would give you the rule itself and tell you where to find it on the back of the card. That should help if someone questions you about it.
Keep in mind it is only awarded next position on OFF GAME OR SLICK. You don't award it any tree points if it is a coon or circle tree.
Edited my post as I had the wrong section up, the rule was correct I just looked at the section wrong when I copied it.

Also read Section 4(D)(d) If dog declared treed; after three minutes has elapsed no additional dog can be declared treed at
that particular tree. Dog(s) treeing but not declared
treed when judge arrives receives minus strike
points if coon is seen.
