Yes!

For a dog of known pedigree from a UKC acknowledged registry.

• Proof of registration from a UKC acknowledged registry. Acknowledged Registries for all coonhound breeds include: PKC,
AKC. We also accept ALCBA for American Leopard Hounds.

Todd quick question...

When a dog is single registered with UKC and a set of papers are sent with the application, is that dog registered with his respective breed in UKC or registered as a crossbred? Asking for a friend

Yes, this is one of the situations that allows a dog to be single registered in as a particular breed and not x-bred.

Here is another question.

Say this particular dog is out of two dogs that are registered in UKC as well and for some reason this pup or this litter was never UKC registered.

When you realize that in Registration will the dog have the correct UKC papers or will he still be single registered?

Also does that answer change if the pup gets DNA'd and proves he is from two PR UKC dogs?

Rip...Your situation is scenario number two on the single application. Yes, that dog would be eligible to be single registered as a specific breed. DNA not required.

2) For a dog that was produced by breeding two UKC Registered Coonhounds (Sire and Dam) of the same breed who was not
litter registered.

• If the dog is less than one year of age, a signed statement from the owner of the Dam (at time of breeding as recorded by
UKC) stating that this litter will not be registered AND granting permission to Single Register this dog must be provided.

• A completed and signed UKC Coonhound Single Registration Application.

• Registration fee. (See Step 4.)

• The UKC number and the registered name of both the sire and dam (as listed on the UKC Registration Certificate) must be
provided in Step 3 “Pedigree”.

• Three color photos of the dog must be provided. One of each side, and one from the front. All photos should be taken at the
dog’s level, with the dog in a standing position.
