lost puppy papers

paid for the pup , paid to have it hauled, papers are lost in the mail. how hard are they to get replaced and whats the process like, UKC and pkc

The easiest thing you can do is to contact the breeder of the litter. You cannot get them on your own. You can hope the breeder kept records of what pups registration number went to whom, date of birth, sire and dams numbers. They will not sent duplicates of puppy papers so you have to pay for permanent registration for this process. Pkc may send them to you but you would still need registration number and whoever litter was registered to signature and their membership number. The fees for permanent registration is not listed on either of the duplicate process for pup papers but will still have to be paid. I always just make a side note with details of what fees I'm paying.

ok he says he has a picture of the papers that were lost. so do i just give that information to ukc?

You have to have him fill out the form and the fees would need to be paid. I would recommend you send him a check or money order made out to UKC and the form.
