I noticed on cast two there were dogs owned by the same person. They can't be split?

looks like he had 3 of the 8 dogs entered. he had a dog in cast 1 also.

It looks like if two of the owners wouldn't have been there one had 3 dogs and one had 2 dogs, there would have been only one cast. Is that normal for a super slam event?
