Situation.......unknown....

Got a female tonight 3 1/2 years old ..kid didn't hunt her much prob 30 times within the past two years .....hasnt been out in 6 months ...got her today took her out tonight....saw a coon on the way in as we pulled in the feild.....she struck and trees 40yards from it .....walk in the woods and never made a tree come back out and she strikes runs track to the tree the coon was in on the way into the woods and falls treed but coon was no longer there.... What do i do in this situation ??? She just a slick treer or you think ahe just needs hunted up ??

hunt the dog another 30 nights then see what you've got.

Put her with a good hound for a while and tie her at every tree.

Is it possible the coon was still there and you couldn't find it?

Coon was definitely not there small enough tree to shine whole thing ...

Sounds like she ran two BACK TRACKS. The first one she struck and instead of taking it to the tree with the coon, she took it to where the coon had been. On the way out the coon had came down and she struck the track and took it to where you saw the coon had been.
